Pretty Flowers
Our lemon tree started getting clusters of buds a week or two ago and I mentioned it here. I am pleased to present two full-out blossoms that smell delightful, a bit like honeysuckle. I took Inari outside and made her sniff one and she liked it so much she came out from the experience with pollen all over her little nose.
Suckers, you just wait ’til I get me some actual Meyer lemons. Then you’ll wish you were close enough to eat the fantastic stuff I’ll be cooking up.
Oh, and our cayenne count is up to 31 and the plant is STILL flowering. Crazy thing!
And also, Papa Johns pizza with whole wheat crust, sauce and tons of veggies is tasty. Around 200 calories and 6 grams of fiber a slice. It’s like health food, excepting the sodium content.
I’m on a supreme death-metal kick which for some strange reason energizes me. So I’m gonna go do stuff.

I dig the lemon blossoms! I would love a Meyer lemon tree (and a lime tree!) but haven’t picked one up yet. So I AM jealous!
So the Papa ww crust is a thumbs up? Good to know! I like this place called zpizza — they have a great ww crust and actually have a vegan pizza! I like their mediterranean pizza best though — only a tiny bit of feta and lots of veggies and no tomato sauce. It’s also only 2 ww points per slice I think?
I thought the whole wheat crust was a thumbs-up. I was a little scared after reading all the negative reviews, but apparently I’ve forgotten how averse people are to whole grains because the crust is good.
Haven’t had it with cheese, but with extra sauce and no cheese it was actually really good. We both enjoyed it, anyway.
zpizza looks good; I’m jealous. I don’t think any pizza could be 2 weight watchers points per slice unless they were really small pieces — especially since the ww people started ignoring fiber over 4 grams. The pizza I had last night comes out to about 3.5 points per slice.
I was, at one point, making pizza dough with half whole wheat flour, half all purpose. My crust didn’t turn out as nicely as this crust (I couldn’t get it as thin or pliable as this crust). It’s good.
We weren’t fans of PJ’s whole wheat pizza. The crust is good, just seemed to clash with what we ordered. We tried their whole wheat bread sticks though and really liked them, so I think it was our choice of toppings. It’s pizza night tonight. Maybe we ought to try the tons of veggies version.
