Our plants are actually doing better now. We've got a load of cayennes (more than 15) growing on our itty bitty cayenne. And we've got between 5-10 bell peppers growing on the ace plant, too. Our tomatoes have finally started fruiting - they're either getting enough sun by reaching out over our balcony or when we fertilized them about two weeks ago, they really took to it.

Our herbs are fine, except our basil is dying because we didn't water it frequently enough and it started to flower. I keep trying to bring it back to a better life by watering it and trimming it, so we'll see what happens.

And we moved our lemon tree away from the tomato plant shadows and it perked up and is getting tons of new leaf growth, although any lemons are in the distant future.

Your CSA loot sounds great!

mmm beets. I wish I planted beets this year. My zucch is growing like mad but seems to fail after it gets to a certain size, so I've started to pick them when they are VERY wee. They are SO tasty though, I sauteed three teensy zucch cut into tiny half-moons the other day and they were fantastic.

I want to hear about this lemon cuke!

How are the plants on your terrace?
