There Goes the Neigborhood…

Published by Kara at 10:24 am under Food, Personal

I took some pictures yesterday of what has been sitting in our parking lot since Tuesday or Wednesday morning. The remains of an engine fire. Let me show you… I think it’s pretty neat.

Before it seems like I’m taking joy in someone’s misery, let me assure you, I’m not. These have been sitting outside, stinking up the air with the smell of poisonous burned plastic fumes. I think it’s a public health issue, I guess it’s impossible to tow ashes though. I do feel really sorry for both cars’ owners, I mean, what are the chances your car lights on fire like this? And you can’t really live in this area without having a car to get to work and the grocery store.

Really, though, I just think fire is neat. I think it’s neat to see how destructible cars are, too. So shoot me, I think it’s interesting. Look at how the tires burned up but the steel wires are still around. Hah, cars.
Also, the Brandywine tomato plant is officially taller than me. Take a look.

It’s truly a monstrosity. Meanwhile, inside the house:

Drinking Bird

Michael bought me a drinking bird, you know, like the one Homer Simpson adores. I’m pretty much enamored with it. Check out our gallery for a flash video with super distorted audio.

Oh well, out to the Farmer’s Market and the thrift store. May you be replete with slack.
