Accuracy in Media Pet Peeve # 384

The genius George Harrison song is titled “Something,” not “Something in the Way She Moves.”  A quick check on Wikipedia, or amazon.com for the track-listing of Abbey Road will confirm this easily.

I gather that most people aren’t really huge beatles fans anymore (I’ve been rocking out to the mono-mixes in the car for a few months now), but come on.  “Something” is largely regarded as one of the best songs ever written.  George Harrison emerging from the daze of “You Like Me Too Much” and “Savoy Truffle,” to spread his song-writer wings.  There’s absolutely no excuse to get the Beatles wrong when you’re writing about music.

sometimes I wonder if the writer does that for the audience and throws out accuracy for the audience’s sake. in that example though, it’s just crappy writing/lack-of-fact-checking. It irritates me too.
