This episode was really good for one reason – we see Daniel Baldwin for what he is.
Daniel Baldwin asks Dr. Drew to leave for a day for an “intervention.” We see him telling everyone else different reasons why he is leaving that day – court case, kid’s play or something else equally as stupid. We all know he’s just jonesin’ for some sweet, sweet coke.
Daniel Baldwin proves his doofus-ness by freaking out about Mary Carey and her friend jumping into the pool in their underwear and white shirts, “with their nipples sticking out!” He calls his wife to let her know immediately. WHY did you call your wife, dingus? So long as you’re not jumping in and fondling people, why should it matter to her? I told WoDM if I was in Rehab and chicks jumped into the pool like that, I’d call him to brag.
Daniel Baldwin asserts he has to leave out of respect for his wife, Dr. Drew calls a meeting with everyone. Daniel discusses why he’s leaving, mentioning his “Four month pregnant wife,” for no real reason. I pause the show (go Tivo!) turn to WoDM and say, why would he mention that? You know why, because he’s not attracted to the baby bump.” This is speculation at this point, but after Daniel leaves we see clips from next week’s show.
It turns out Daniel Baldwin was sending Mary Carey text messages of “himself”, and asking for some in return. Daniel Baldwin is a skanky, cocaine-addicted, presumptuous, hypocritical oaf.
This episode was also good because we focused on Chyna, and she hadn’t really been developed yet. Also, Jeff Conaway has some twisted history he is brave enough to share with the group (and subsequently, the world).
The most touching part of the episode is when Jeff Conaway does yoga. The instructor teaches him how to lay down and stand up on his own, and he starts to walk, too. He walks to his bedroom and can lay in his bed (he’s been sleeping in a chair). Jeff looks like he is going to cry and says, in a voice sodden with gratitude, “god bless you” to the yoga instructor.

Daniel Baldwin’s wife had her baby on January 17th, and they’re still married, for what it’s worth. I’m just glad to see him go; he was annoying to watch.
