XMas Ornaments redux

Saturday, I enlisted WoDM’s in making dough ornaments. He scented the dough with some sort of xmas-y scent and cinnamon and kneaded it for a while. I rolled it out and cut the ornaments into various shapes. Anyway, the baking of the first batch went horribly, so the rest have been air drying for the past few days. Tonight I painted a few of the thinner ones since they’re actually dry. A picture for the curious:

    and those things are hard to paint. the brushes and paint and texture all come into play… :)

    I only had one very crappy paintbrush, so all the detail work was done with toothpicks. It’s acrylic paint, but some had separated out and so they were more watery than others (yellow, for example).
